Points to Remember.

 A chemical reaction is a process in which the original substance(s) lose their nature and identity and form new substance(s) with different properties.  Breaking of the chemical bonds and formation of the new chemical bonds is responsible for the occurrence of a chemical reaction.  The substances which take part in chemical reaction are called Reactants.  The substances which are formed in a chemical reaction are called Products.  Examples : Where chemical reactions takes place : (i) Digestion of food (ii) Respiration (iii) Rusting of iron (iv) Burning of Magnesium ribbon (v) Formation of curd
